South Africa off to solid start; score 66/0 in 15 overs

Feb 26, 2014
South Africa are off to solid start against Australia at the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2014 semi-final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The pitch at Dubai hasn’t been the best for the teams batting first. But, that didn’t stop South Africa from winning the toss and batting first.
South Africa have been helped by wides in this game as Australia have bowled as many as seven in the first ten overs. Aiden Markram and Clyde Fortuin have been solid to start with and have tackled all the bowlers very well in the first phase. This is a good base for them as teams have often lost wickets early. South Africa have to make the most of it now.
Skipper Markram was hit in the groin in the 12th over by Ashkenazi and was in a bit of discomfort. He managed to recover and continue his batting. The pacers didn’t fall for the probing line maintaine by Billy Stanlake.
