Australia vs South Africa, Zimbabwe Tri Series 2014 final: Hashim Amla dismissed for 51

Sep 6, 2014

Hashim Amla was dismissed soon after getting to his half-century for South Africa against Australia in the final of the Zimbabwe Triangular series at Harare on Saturday. Faf du Plessis continued his golden run with the bat as he reached his tenth One-Day International (ODI) half-century, and combined with Amla to put South Africa in the driver’s seat.

Australia finished at 217 for nine against South Africa, as Dale Steyn’s four-wicket-haul derailed the innings in the final of the Zimbabwe Triangular series 2014 at Harare. Barring Aaron Finch, no Australian batsman crossed 50, while their highest partnership of 71 was for the ninth wicket.

South Africa won the toss and included spinner Imran Tahir in the playing XI as they elected to field. Australia on the other hand will be looking looking to bury the ghosts of the shock defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe by lifting the series trophy at the end of the match.
