West Indies remained at 248 for 7 at the stumps of Day 3 after the day was abandoned with a ball being bowled due to rain. West Indies who won the toss and elected to bat at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in the third and the final Test of their ongoing three-match Test series will want to pull a draw here after losing the first two matches. Their form in the series makes it difficult for one to imagine the visitors beating the Australian side in a Test. West Indies opener Kraigg Brathwaite who scored 85 from 174 balls is their top-scorer in the game so far with. The other Brathwaite, Carlos, once again was impressive scoring a decent 69 off 71 deliveries he had faced.  Live Cricket Scorecard: Australia vs West Indies 2015-16, 3rd Test at Sydney

Denesh Ramdin and Kemar Roach will resume their innings on Day Four. The 7 wickets were shared between Australia’s Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson, Josh Hazlewood and Steve O’Keefe. The only chance of a result seems to be some creative declarations from rival captains Steve Smith and Jason Holder, but Windies coach Phil Simmons said the weather would have the final say. “I think we need to see how much play we get tomorrow first,” Simmons told reporters.
