Australia lost their openers Aaron Finch and David Warner early on as they reached 41 for two after five overs, in their ICC World T20 2014 match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mipur on Friday.

Finch provided Australia the momentum early on as he smashed two boundaries and a six off Samuel Badree in the second over of the match. Australia added as many as 15 runs from the second over.  David Warner joined his partner soon in the next over, as he cracked two boundaries off Krishmar Santokie.

Marlon Samuels provided Australia the first breakthrough as he got rid of Finch, cleaning up the Australian opener for 16 off 11 balls.

Australia soon lost Warner, who was cleaned up by Samuel Badree for 20.

After five overs, Australia were 41 for two with Shane Watson (2) and Glenn Maxwell (0) at the crease.

Earlier in the match, Australia captain George Bailey won the toss and elected to bat against the defending champions. James Muirhead and James Faulkner were inducted into the side in place of Nathan Coulter-Nile and Brad Hogg.

On the other hand, the West Indies retained their playing eleven.
