Catch Live Scorecard of the Australia (AUS) vs West Indies (WI) match here

(Australia clash with West Indies in the ICC World T20 2014 at Dhaka on March 28. Catch Live Cricket Score of the match in our updates below).

Wild scenes at the ground. Sammy had in fact ran to the side as soon as he hit the ball. He knew he had hit a six and won the match for West Indies. Sammy is also the Man of the Match for his 13-ball 34 with two fours and three sixes. West Indies have gone top of Group 2 temporarily. They have two wins and one loss. Australia have two losses. They have to depend on other results for them to go through.

Faulkner to bowl the last over of the match. He bowls two full deliveries and both are dot balls. The third ball is a full-toss and Sammy smashes it over long-on for a six. Sammy then hits the fourth delivery straight down the ground for a big six. West Indies win the match by six wickets.

Starc bowls one wide and Sammy smashes the ball over long-on for a six. Sammy then hits another wide delivery in the air on the off side and gets two runs. He also reaches the crease with a dive as Haddin flicked the bails. Sammy then plays the most unusual shot for a four behind square on the leg side. That was a Helicopter shot sideways. Starc then bowls one wide and Sammy gets a thick outside edge to it. Muirhead does brilliantly to save the four at third-man. Sammy then slices another wide delivery over backward-point for a four.

Bollinger to bowl his last over. Bravo gives himself room on the off side and hits a full delivery over extra-cover for a four. The last ball is on the pads and Bravo flicks it towards fine-leg for a four.

Starc is back into the attack. Samuels edges a full and wide delivery and Haddin takes a brilliant catch diving to his right. Darren Sammy gets of the mark on the first ball with a single towards long-on. Bravo then hooks a short delivery over deep mid-wicket for a six.
OUT! M Samuels 12(15)

Faulkner comes in. He gives away only two runs from the first four deliveries. The last two deliveries only produce two runs.

Muirhead continues. He bowls a full-toss and Samuels hits the ball down the ground. Starc cannot stop it and it is a four. He bowls another full-toss down the leg side and Bravo pulls it high over deep mid-wicket for a six.

Bollinger to bowl. Simmons hits one high in the air and the ball falls in front of Bailey. He does well to stop the ball from going to the boundary. Bollinger bowls one short and Simmons hooks the ball to Maxwell at deep backward square-leg. He takes the catch just in front of the boundary line.
OUT! L Simmons 26(24)

Muirhead comes in and Gayle flicks one on the leg side. He has not got the distance nor the height and Maxwell takes the catch at deep mid-wicket. He is pumped up and the Australians celebrate. Marlon Samuels is the next batsman in. He gets of the mark with a single towards long-on.
OUT! C Gayle 53(35)

Maxwell continues. Simmons sweeps one behind square on the leg side for a four. There is a mild appeal for stumping to dismiss Simmons. But replays show that he has his foot grounded when Haddin flicks the bails. Simmons then hits one through mid-wicket for a single. That is the 100 for West Indies and also the 50-run partnership between Gayle and Simmons.

James Muirhead has been brought into the attack. He is a right-hand leg-spinner. Gayle hits one through deep square-leg and gets two runs to reach his 11th half-century in T20Is.

Glenn Maxwell has been brought into the attack. Smith smashes a full delivery past the mid-off fielder for a four. Gayle then hits a full delivery for a four towards deep mid-wicket. James Faulkner cannot stop despite a diving attempt. Gayle comes down the track and misses. Haddin does not collect the ball and a stumping chance is missed. Gayle then sweeps one through square-leg for a four.

Doug Bollinger comes into the attack. He bowls one short and Smith pulls it away for a four behind square on the leg side to get of the mark. Bollinger again bowls one short and Smith pulls and gets an inside-edge. Haddin cannot get his gloves to it and the ball races away for a four. Gayle then whips a straight delivery over deep square-leg for a six.

Mitchell Starc will bowl from the other end. He bowls a brilliant out-swinger to Gayle first up. The ball pitches on middle and off-stump and beats Gayle and goes to Brad Haddin behind the stumps. Starc then bowls a full away swinging delivery and Gayle simply touches it and gets a four through cover. The next ball is struck in the air down the ground for a four. That just bounced ahead of the boundary line. Gayle then whips one over mid-wicket for another four. Starc then bowls one short and Gayle pulls it away for the fourth four on the trot.

Dwayne Smith and Chris Gayle will begin the run-chase. Shane Watson will open the bowling for Australia. Watson bowls four dot deliveries first up. He then drifts down the leg side to Smith and West Indies get their first runs with a leg-bye.

Despite having a stop-start beginning to their innings, Australia have managed to put up a competitive total. Maxwell top-scored with a 22-ball 45 with five fours and three sixes. We will have to see whether the total is enough for the win. West Indies do have some big-hitters in Gayle and Dwayne Smith.

Bravo will bowl the last over of the innings. Haddin drives a slower delivery in the air towards cover. Santokie drops the catch low to his left. And he is a lefty, so, that is poor fielding. Bravo then bowls two consecutive wides to Starc on the off side. Starc then hits a length delivery in the air towards straight long-on. Russell runs to his right and takes a brilliant catch. James Muirhead is the next batsman in. He gets of the mark with a single towards long-off. Muirhead had hit the ball in the air. Russell mis-fielded but the batsmen got only one run. Haddin hits the last ball for a four over wide mid-off. Australia post a total of 178 for eight in their 20 overs.

OUT! J Faulkner 13(17)

Narine to bowl his final over. Hodge pulls a really short delivery from Narine towards wide long-on for a single. That is the 50-run partnership between Hodge and Faulkner. And that is also Australia’s 150. Hodge gets in position to play a reverse-sweep before the ball has been bowled. Narine bowls a yorker and Hodge misses and gets bowled.
OUT! B Hodge 35(26)

Bravo comes in. He bowls one full and wide and Hodge gets a thick inside-edge onto it. The ball races away to the fine-leg boundary for a four. The next ball is a waist-high full-toss and Hodge pulls it for a six over deep square-leg.

Santokie comes back. It is a good over as he gives away only four runs from it. All the runs have come in singles.

Andre Russell comes into bowl. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He bowls a high full-toss and Faulkner has to duck underneath it. Ramdin cannot stop it and it goes for four no-balls. Russell is given a warning. Hodge then hits a full-toss for a four towards long-leg.

Narine comes back into the attack. Hodge gets two runs through deep mid-wicket. The batsmen then exchange a few singles in the over.

Narine continues. He bowls a length delivery that turns away. Maxwell tries to play it square on the off side, but edges it in-between Ramdin and Chris Gayle at first slip. Gayle cannot get his left hand to it as the ball travels quickly. The ball races away to the third-man boundary for a four.

Badree comes in. He bowls a good over till the last ball. Bailey slog-sweeps the ball for a six over deep mid-wicket. That is also the 50 for Australia.

Sunil Narine comes into the attack. He bowls one which turns away and Watson misses. Denesh Ramdin flicks the bail on the second attempt and Watson has his back-foot on the crease. He thought he had it behind the line. Poor judgement.
OUT! S Watson 2(8)
