Australia Women take on South Africa Women in Match No.6 of the ICC Women’s World T20 2016 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association stadium, Nagpur. Australia are defending champions winning the competition in 2014, will look to get off to a great start. They will be skippered by Meg Lanning, who will look to win the competition for the second time. South Africa on the other hand will be captained by Mignon du Preez, will look to bettering their home series victory over West Indies at home. In a recent interview, Lanning suggested that the wickets in India to be turning tracks and said spin will play a major role in ongoing ICC World Twenty20. “Obviously spin is going play the major part in games. We have been doing a lot of work on playing spin bowling. We can adopt in the little period we have got since arriving here. We are almost used to the Chennai conditions but in all venues we have to rise our game,” she added. Lanning was the top-scorer for Australia in the final of ICC Women’s World T20 2014 with 44 off 30 which set the tone of their chase of 106 after openers Jess Jonassen and Elyse Villani were dismissed early.
