Azhar Ali is nearing his maiden double hundred in the Day T2o of the second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan. He along with Asad Shafiq are slowly batting Bangladesh out of this Test. Both have already shared 100 run partnership and looking in in very good form. Bangladesh got the wicket of Misbah ul Haq at the start of Day’s play. Bowlers were getting bit of help at that point of time. So Azhar and Shafiq took their time initially. But after this cautious beginning, Azhar and Shafiq slowly took control. Especially Shafiq came out of his shell in the second half of the morning session and played some attacking shots. With one pace bowler shot, Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, tried to stop their counter attack with spinners, but they were was ineffective. During the course of this session, Azhar reached his third 150 plus score, and also went past his highest Test score of 157 made against England in 2012. Shafiq also picked up his 12th Test fifty on a humid an overcast day at Dhaka. The pitch has started to take turn, so a score around 550-600 will put huge pressure on Bangladesh line up.
