Azhar Ali scores his ninth Test century for Pakistan during Day Four of the second Test against Sri Lanka at Colombo. Azhar came into bat after Pakistan lost an early wicket, but has steered Pakistan to a good position from where they can perhaps go on to win the Test. His partnership with skipper Misbah-ul-Haq did not last long as the latter was dismissed for 22. Azhar has been unfazed with the loss of wickets at the other end and has carried on to play a vital innings for his side. Early on Day One, Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan were bowled out for a mere 138. Sri Lanka scored 315 in their first innings and setup a lead of 177. Pakistan have batted sensibly in the second innings and have established a lead of over 100 now.
