Former captain Mohammad Azharuddin has shown keen interest to coach the Indian cricket team and said if the BCCI requires his services in future, he is ready to take up the responsibility.

 

“My services are available to BCCI if they want to use it any level for Indian cricket team,” Azharuddin told reporters here at the National Institute of Sports.

 

The Congress MP from Moradabad was here to preside the graduation ceremony of 48th diploma course in sports coaching of NIS, Patiala.

 

The BCCI has BCCI has recently appointed former Zimbabwe captain Duncan Fletcher as India’s coach after Gary Kirsten quit the job following the end of his successful tenure.

 

Azharuddin is also a member of the Consultative Committee of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
