New Delhi: Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. In a surprising move, Bangladesh have dropped experienced batter Mahmudullah from the squad while Mushfiqur Rahim is also not in the team as he recently took retirement from the format. Shakib Al Hasan will continue as skipper despite his team’s dismal performance in Asia Cup.

Litton Das, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan, Hasan Mahmud and Najmul Hossain Shanto have been brought i the team while Parvez Hossain Emon, Anamul Haque, Mahedi Hasan and Mohammad Naim have been dropped alongside Mahmudullah after poor show in the Asia Cup. Coming back to Mahmudullah, he made 52 runs in the Asia Cup, and has a total of 151 runs in eight T20I innings this year.
The same squad will also taken on New Zealand and Pakistan in a tri-series in the build-up to the mega event in Australia.
