Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Manzur Ahmed passes away

Manzur Ahmed, the chief executive officer of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Tuesday.

“We deeply regret to inform you that our chief executive officer died of a cardiac arrest this morning at his home,” BCB Physician Debasish Chowdhury told Reuters.

Ahmed played for a Bangladeshi representative side against a visiting Marylebone Cricket Club team in 1977.

The 57-year-old became the CEO of BCB in August 2010. Before that he had an identical role for the governing body in Brunei.

His death was confirmed by his family and BCB.
