Bangladesh Cricket Board plans to start cricket wing for disabled

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) which is currently hosting a T20 tournament for physically handicapped; has said that it plans to start a separate wing for physically disabled cricketers. Presently, there are around three disabled teams in Bangladesh which are being operated by three different organisations. It is speculated that the wing would be named ‘Disable Cricket Wing’ (DCW).  Currently, five countries (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and England) are playing in International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) T20 tournament for disabled. The tournament started on 2^nd September’ 2015 and will end on 10^th September. In a conversation with Dhaka Tribune BCB President Nazmul Hassan said, “Many organisations are involved with disable cricket at the moment. Some are working with blind cricket and others are working with disable cricket. But you will see that the players of all the teams are almost the same. The board has planned to open a separate wing for disable cricket. The job of this department [DCW]  will be to find out the talented disable cricketers from around the country and bring them under one roof. The BCB will try to provide the best possible facilities to those players and groom them to compete with disable teams from around the world. The team that are playing in the tournament at the moment has been chalked out by the BCB. The current disable team have been appointed with a coach.
