The players will now be forced to chose between the overseas leagues they want to play in; putting them in a fix.

"It is a principled, policy decision of the board. We will allow two NOCs per year. It will be on a case-by-case basis and it is with immediate effect. We want to give them enough rest and manage their injuries. We want to ensure all our players are available for international matches.", Chowdhury said.

Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and other Bangladesh players have participated in various other leagues. Shakib, in particular, is a vital cog in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) camp in IPL. It will be interesting to see how he chooses his 'overseas leagues'.
