Bangladesh spinners run through UAE in ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifier

Bangladesh spinners Fahima Khatun, Rumana Ahmed and Nahida Akter ran through the UAE batting order to skittle them out for a paltry 39 in the ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifier Group A game at Utrecht after being 33 for 2. Fahima Khatun had a great day on the field and returned impressive figures of 4-0-8-4 including a hat-trick. She became the first Bangladeshi to take a hat-trick in international cricket. Three of her scalps being caught in the deep and one trapped in front.
The other spinners, Rumana Ahmed (2-1-4-2) and Nahida Akter (2.2-0-2-2), also bowled well and the UAE batters had no answers to the questions posed by them.
Bangladesh knocked off the small target within 7 overs and for the loss of 2 wickets. It was a thoroughly impressive bowling and fielding performance from table toppers Bangladesh in this Group A game.
