Sri Lanka are facing injury woes one after the other. After Angelo Mathews being ruled out from the ongoing Bangladesh Tri-Nation series, Kusal Perera is also out of the tournament due to side strain. Just like Mathews, Perera’s availability for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh is not known yet, the decision for which will be taken on Tuesday morning, as reported on cricbuzz. For his replacement, Dhananjaya de Silva has been called in. Dhananjaya will be arriving to Dhaka on Tuesday.

Perera sustained the side strain when he compiled 49 while playing against Zimbabwe, which was Sri Lanka’s first win in the tournament. Dhananjaya, on the other hand, is coming to the limited-overs format after his 2017 Champions Trophy stint. He earned several accolades for notching up 119 against India in the third and final Test against India that ended in draw.
