Bangladesh and Pakistan clash on Day 2 of the second Test at Mirpur on Thursday. Pakistan reached a score of 323 for three at the end of Day 1, with Younis Khan (148) and Azhar Ali (127*) slamming centuries to put up a 250-run stand for the third wicket. Put in to bat first, Pakistan struggled against a menacing Bangladesh bowling unit as they lost both openers Mohammad Hafeez and Sami Aslam cheaply for eight and 19 respectively.

While Hafeez, who scored a double-ton in the drawn first Test in Khulna, was caught behind by wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim off Mohammad Shahid‘s delivery, Aslam fell prey to Taijul Islam‘s bowling.
