Pakistan have lost three quick wickets— Khurram Manzoor, Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Hafeez in their Asia Cup 2016 match against Bangladesh. Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi won the toss and elected to bat first. He was quite optimistic on batting first considering the pitch was good for batting. Pakistan made one change in their playing XI with Anwar Ali replacing Mohammad Nawaz. Taskin Ahmed and Al-Amin Hossain shared the new ball for Bangladesh. Khurram Manzoor and Sharjeel Khan opened the batting for Bangladesh. Pakistan lost their first wicket in the form of Manzoor in the second over itself. Hossain pitched a length ball which rose up menacingly. Manzoor attempted a defence but ended up edging the ball back to the wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. Mohammad Hafeez replaced Manzoor. Pakistan were 16 for the loss of two wickets after the end of four overs. Mortaza then brought himself into the attack. Both; Sarfraz Ahmed, who was new to the crease and Hafeez found it difficult playing scoring off him. He gave Bangladesh their third breakthrough as he got Hafeez trapped leg-before. Pakistan were tottering on 18 for three after 4.5 overs. Mortaza came in with another beauty on the next ball. An outsingwer and Umar Akmal survived a leg-before. It was controversial and the umpire gave the benefit of doubt to the batsman. Pakistan were in tatters at that moment and their body language showed that they did not know what to do now.
