Bangladesh take on South Africa in the third and final One-day International (ODI) of the series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Tuesday. This is going to be the series-decider as both teams have won one game each so far in this three-match encounter.

Before the start of the ODIs, it was expected that the hosts will put up a tough challenge for the South Africans and they lived up to their expectations. After being beaten convincingly in the first game, Bangladesh bounced back and thrashed the South African by seven wickets in the next one. It was Bangladesh’s second ever victory against the Proteas in any format. The elegance and class of Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah saw Bangladesh through in the last game. The hosts will again depend on them to produce the goods. Also the other senior batsmen like Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim need to contribute in this important game. Tamim’s poor form has been a alarming factor. The team management have the option of playing Anamul Haque at the top of the order. But in this crucial game, Bangladesh will most likely to pick Tamim despite his poor run of form.

The wonder-kid Mustafizur Rahman, who took three for 38 in his last outing against the mighty South Africans,  will once again be the centre of attraction. Apart from him, there will be high hopes on Rubel Hossain after his brilliant comeback in the last game. For Hashim Amla-led South Africa, the last defeat has definitely hurt their ego and they would like to bounce back strongly in this match. They need their strong batting line-up to click in this game. The likes of Amla, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Rilee Rossouw, David Miller need to put their hands up and play more responsibly.  Their bowling will be looked after by the likes of Kyle Abbott , Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir. Also Morne Morkel is expected to comeback in the playing eleven.

Bangladesh last played an international match in Chittagong , back in November lat year. Though Conditions will be no different form Dhaka as the spinners are expected to get more help from this wicket. So fans can expect a close game on Tuesday.
