Chaturanga de Silva, after stitching a wonderful 82-run partnership with captain, Angelo Mathews departed in the 40th over of the innings, with Sri Lanka closing in on another victory in Asia Cup 2014. De Silva, who was batting on 44, lost his wicket to spinner, Mahmudullah trying to sweep him over mid-wicket.

Sri Lanka need just 48 runs more off 10 remaining overs. Mathews, on the other hand, is still there and is closing in on another well-composed fifty.

Both these batsmen came together when Sri Lanka were fumbling at 75 for five, but they steadied the ship and steered them towards what should be a comfortable victory from this position.
