Bangladesh got off to a solid start in the last league match of the Asia Cup 2014 against Sri Lanka at Mirpur on Thursday. Their in-form batsman Anamul Haque and Shamsur Rahman (replacing Imrul Kayes) played some crisp shots through the covers. Anamul and Shamsur are batting on 15. Bangladesh are 31 for no loss in nine overs.
Suranga Lakmal and Thisara Perera started the bowling. In the first over, Rahman hit an overpitched ball through covers for a boundary Both batsmen were beaten occasionally with some seam movement, but they have had no problems.
Earlier, Bangaldesh won the toss and elected to bat. They made three changes to their side while Sri Lanka rested Lasith Malinga.
