Anamul Haque, who scored consecutive fifties in the last two One-Day Internationals (ODIs), was dismissed for just five by right-arm pacer Neville Madziva. Haque missed a straightforward ball and was adjudged out LBW.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. Jubair Khan was awarded an ODI debut, while Abul Hasan came into the side as well. For the visitors, Tinashe Panyangara was replaced by Tendai Chatara. This is the first ODI since the tragic demise of Phillip Hughes, and both sides observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect.
