Zimbabwe reached a score of 110 for three after the end of 25 overs in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) played against Bangladesh at Dhaka on Friday. Brendan Taylor and Solomon Mire are steering the Zimbabwe innings nicely. Zimbabwe openers, Hamilton Masakadza and Vusi Sibanda started well but Shakib Al Hasan brought Bangladesh back in the game with two quick blows. Later, Jubair Hossain also picked up his first ODI wicket.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah combined in crucial fifth-wicket stand worth 134 runs, while Mashrafe Mortaza played an invaluable cameo at the death to help boost Bangladesh to a total of 256 for eight. Jubair Khan was awarded an ODI debut, while Hasan came into the side as well. For the visitors, Tinashe Panyangara was replaced by Tendai Chatara. This is the first ODI since the passing of Hughes, and both sides observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect.
