Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes continued there dominance and took Bangladesh to 213 for no loss at Tea in the third Test match played between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at Chittagong on Wednesday.

Bangladesh was 91 for no loss after 31 overs as the team went for lunch. Both Iqbal and Kayes continue their brilliance with the bat post-lunch as Zimbabwe failed to produce a wicket. Iqbal got his half-century just after lunch off 88 balls while Kayes got his half-century in the 38th over of the match. Kayes celebrated his half-century with a big six off Natsai Mushangwe. Iqbal also added to the fireworks as he collected 13 runs from Mushangwe’s next over which included three boundaries.

Iqbal completed his sixth Test century off 150 balls in the 55th over of the match. Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes went pasttheir previous record of highest opening partnership in Tests. Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes earlier had a 185-run opening stand at Lord’s against England in 2010. The 200-run partnership was achieved in the 57th over . It was Kayes’ turn next as he powered his way to his second Test ton which came from 191 balls. This opening stand also becomes the third highest stand for Bangladesh for any wicket.
