For the second match in a row Baroda’s bowlers have managed to clean out the opposition cheaply. In their first match they had managed to rout Tamil Nadu early, but their batsmen had folded up in the fourth innings chase as the Tamil Nadu bowlers managed to pull the match back. Railways were routed for just 166, with Hardik Pandya taking 5 for 61 and Swapnil Singh taking 4 for 31. Baroda replying to Railways’ 166 lost the wicket of Solanki early but Kedar Devdhar and Aditya Waghmode shared a good stand to give them the platform. Kedar was out for 88 and Waghmode too departed for 87. But Deepak Hooda then hit a brilliant ton, he scored 122 in 178 balls with 20 boundaries and two maximums. Yusuf Pathan came in and hit some lusty blows in a 87-ball 62. Hardik Pandya is batting on 41 and will want to continue his impressive game. He took five wickets in the first innings. Baroda are well into the lead and will want to build on this and ensure they have a mammoth lead to put pressure on Railways and enforce a win. Baroda lost the first game to Tamil Nadu and will be hoping to make up for it with an innings win which will help them gain a bonus point as well.
