South Africa, however, continue made gems. Shane Dadswell slammed 490 in a 50-over match for his club NWU Pukke against Potch Dorp 1st. NWU Pukke won the match by 387 runs after Potch Dorp 1st managed a mere 290 for 9.

Dadswell, who turned 20 on Saturday, achieved this feat off 151 deliveries, featuring 57 sixes and 27 fours. His teammate Ruan Haasbroek contributed an unbeaten 104 off 54 balls. The duo powered NWU Pukke to mammoth total of 677 for 3 in 50 overs.

Dadswell impressed his side with the ball as well. He ended with figures of 2 for 32 in 7 overs. 570 of the massive total in the Pukke’s innings came through boundaries: 63 sixes and 48 fours.

In fact the first three innings of the Pukke s innings witnessed huge partnerships. The Potch Dorp 1st bowlers paid the price heavily. The top four bowlers conceded over 100 runs each.
