The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced that they have appointed Mr. Rahul Johri as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the board. Rahul was the Executive vice-president of the Discovery Networks Asia Pacific and also the General Manager for South Asia, as he prepares to take his new role from June 1, and would also report to General Manager for South Asia in Mumbai. The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Thursday announced the appointment of Mr Rahul Johri as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Rahul who was last serving as Discovery Networks Asia Pacific’s Executive Vice-President and General Manager for South Asia, will take on his new role starting June 1, 2016 onwards, reporting to the Honorary Secretary BCCI and will be based at Mumbai office. Rahul brings with him immense experience and knowledge on board and will be responsible for the smooth functioning of operations, stakeholder management and building robust strategies for further promoting the sport. Commenting on the appointment, BCCI President, Mr Shashank Manohar, said, “We are pleased to have Rahul with us and are sure his vast experience and knowledge will benefit the board.
