For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.” The controversial celebration took place on the penultimate ball of the third over during PBKS’ chase of 172.

Digvesh bowled a short and wide ball, to which Priyansh attempted to pull with not a lot of foot movement. The ball hit the top edge and went high up in the air. Shardul Thakur sprinted from mid-on and secured a running catch.

As Arya was walking back to the dugout, Digvesh made a gesture by his hands- indicating writing a letter to Arya. Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar and Mohammad Kaif were commentating the match, and did not appreciate this incident.
