Star Australian players Pat Cummins and Travis Head were offered Rs 58 crore each to quit Australia Cricket by an IPL franchise.

Star Australian players Pat Cummins and Travis Head reportedly turned down a huge offer to quit international cricket and only focus in T20 franchise leagues year-round. According to The Age, a famous IPL franchise approached both the star players with a deal worth $10 million each per year (around INR 58.2 crore) to participate in multiple T20 tournaments.
However, both the players decided to stay committed to their nation and team, because Cummins and Head chose to stay with Australia, it has encouraged discussions to privatize the Big Bash League (BBL).
According to the report, Cricket Australia, the state associations, and the playersâ union have discussed the possibility of privatising the BBL. However, none of these parties has made an official statement yet
How Much Pat Cummins Earns From IPL?
Former IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) retained the Australia Test and ODI captain for Rs 18 crore ahead of last yearâs mega auction. He was initially bought by SRH for Rs 20.5 crore at the 2024 IPL auction before agreeing to a pay cut. The player is also the captain of SRH.
How Much Pat Cummins Earns As Australia Cricketer?
According to The Age, top Australian players usually earn about 1.5 million AUD (around â¹8.74 crore) each year. But Pat Cummins, who is Australiaâs top fast bowler and also the captain of the Test and ODI teams, earns nearly 3 million AUD (around â¹17.48 crore) a year, including his captainâs bonus.
How Much Travis Head Earns From IPL?
Travis Head, known for his powerful batting at the top order, was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for â¹6.8 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. However, after his impressive performances, his value increased, and for the 2025 season, he was retained for â¹14 crore, more than double his previous salary.
