Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has offered jobs to two state-based visually-challenged cricketers honouring their talents. Jobs were offered to V P Vishnu and Muhammed Farhan in the wake of their performance in the recent World Cup Cricket for the Visually-challenged in which the country won the title.

The announcement was made by Chandy, when Vishnu, hailing from Palode near here, visited the Chief Minister’s chamber on Wednesday. Farhan could not come due to ill health, his family members said. Social Justice Minister M K Muneer was also present at the Chamber.

India won the title after beating Pakistan in the tournament held in Cape Town, South Africa. India managed to chase down Pakistan’s 390-run target with two balls to spare. The tournament also featured hosts South Africa, Australia, England, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
