Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin will not return to the West Indies due to family reasons.
Haddin flew back from the Caribbean last week due to personal reasons, meaning his replacement Peter Nevill will stay back for the Test series next month.
“Cricket Australia fully supports Brad’s decision to remain in Australia and sends its best wishes to him and his family at this time,” said Cricket Australia’s general manager team performance Pat Howard.
The development is most likely to make way for Matthew Wade’s Test debut. Wade had earlier replaced Haddin in the ODI squad.
The ODI-series between the West Indies and Australia is nicely poised at 1-1 after a dramatic tie in the third match Tuesday. (IANS)
