The 2016 Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), which is also named the CCL 6 or the CCL 2016, is the upcoming edition of the Celebrity Cricket League and would be the sixth season of the much hyped celebrity cricketing league. This is a non-professional men’s cricket league that was strated in India in 2011, that involves celebrites, especially film actors from various states who represent their respective state teams. There are a total of eight teams from who will represent their respective regional teams and movie industry, as they would be playing a total of 15 matches all together. Owing to it’s immense success in the past few years, it has been widely covered by the media.

At the moment Group A is topped by Bhojpuri Dabanggs and Group B is topped by Karnataka Bulldozers, while Telegu Warriors lacking behind them and just below are Kerela Strikers, Chennai Rhinos. If they win further matches, the table toppers can be easily preceded with current second standers in the table. Owing to the enormous success and popularity of the infamous Indian Premier League (IPL), the CCL was inspired and launched with the same vision that focused on the same concept of producing teams from various Indian states, that mainly represented their movie industry.

Vishnu Vardhan Induri, a Serial Entrepreneur from Hyderabad is the Founder and Managing Director of CCL. It was he, who came up with the concept in 2010 and sold the frnachise rights to four teams for the inaugural season in 2011, while later a couple of more teams were added for the next season, whereas the current season has eight teams in total for the league, making the tournament more competitive. The following teams in the form of Chennai Rhinos, Telugu Warriors, Mumbai Heroes, Karnataka Bulldozers, Kerala Strikers, Bengal Tigers, Veer Marathi and Punjab De Sher would be playing the sixth season.
