Kohli becomes fastest batter to reach 14000 ODI runs
During India’s clash against Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium in UAE for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, India’s star batter Virat Kohli reached a massive milestone, as he became the fastest batter to reach 14000 ODI runs.
Virat Kohli completed this special achievement in the One-Day format on his 299th match od his career. In case of innings, Virat has secured the milestone of 14000 runs in his 287th inning.
Virat Kohli has now become the fastest batter to complete 14000 runs in ODIs, both in terms of matches and in terms of innings. The special thing is that he achieved this milestone against arch-rivals Pakistan.
Sachin Tendulkar, who is considered as the ‘God of cricket’, was the holder of this record before Virat Kohli. Sachin had achieved this milestone in the 350th inning of his 359th ODI match. Now as Virat is at the top position, Sachin has been pushed to the second place. At the third spot in Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, who completed this feat in 378th inning of his 402nd ODI match.
