MS Dhoni came in to bat for Chennai Super Kings in their run-chase of 149 against Rajasthan Royals at the JSCA International Stadium, Ranchi in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. The 17th over was bowled by Kevon Cooper. He took just a single off the first ball. Dhoni and du Plessis kept taking singles off the next few balls.

Pravin Tambe came in to bowl the 16th over, and beat the bat of MS Dhoni first ball. After conceding just two off the first five balls, Tambe bowled one down the leg side and Dhoni hit it beautifully down fine leg for four to make it six runs off the over.

Faf du Plessis was solid for Chennai Super Kings in their run-chase of 149 against Rajasthan Royals at the JSCA International Stadium, Ranchi in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. After the strategic timeout, Rajat Bhatia came in to bowl. He conceded singles off the first two balls, before du Plessis took a couple of runs off the thrd ball. He then took another single. Ashwin then went for a slog but was bowled going for the big hit. And in walks homeground hero MS Dhoni.

James Faulkner then bowled the 14th over, and went for singles off two of the first three balls. Ashwin looked to go down the ground over long on, but didn’t find the fence. After going for just three runs from four balls, he bowled a good slower ball that Ashwin was able to work away for another single. CSK brought up their 100 off the final ball of the over.

Rajat Bhatia came in to bowl the 13th over, and was largely ineffective, as Ashwin managed to hit him through midwicket for a boundary. Ashwin and du Plessis were able to churn the singles around and score freely off the over.

Kevon Cooper came on to bowl the 10th over after the strategic timeout. He went for just two runs off the first four balls,  but with the run rate being very manageable, CSK were not worried about going for the big hits against him. Dwayne Smith went to hook the final ball of the over, but he top edged it to wicketkeeper Dishant Yagnik. Cooper had got rid of his countryman.
