In the eight match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Daredevils (DD) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi batsmen Dinesh Karhik and JP Duminy are at the crease and have stemmed the rot after three early wickets.

Delhi desperately needed Karthik and JP Duminy to solidify and build a huge partnership at the crease. After Faf du Plessis’s gravity-defying catches left everyone in a trance the run-rate also started to creep up after Delhi had made just 18 in the first five overs. Mohit Sharma’s second over also restricted the batsmen and only six overs came of that over. Ishwar Pandey’s second over though was expensive, with 13 coming of it. The final ball of that over saw JP Duminy play an exquisite flick behind square leg for a boundary.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first and posted a commanding score of 177 for seven, led by Suresh Raina’s superb half-century. MS Dhoni played one of his typical cameos towards the end.
