Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have reached a score of 55 for one after nine overs against Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 on April 21. Dwayne Smith is batting on 26 and Suresh Raina is on 16. Chennai captain MS Dhoni had won the toss and elected to bat in Match 8 of IPL 7. Kevin Pietersen is still out with his finger injury, so, Dinesh Karthik leads Delhi.

McCullum hit one from Jaydev Unadkat towards Duminy at short-cover, but to the surprise of all at the ground and many more watching on TV, the South African dropped a sitter. But it didn’t cost Delhi that much as McCullum was dismissed the very next delivery. He came down the track and and tried to smack one on the leg side but edged it straight substitute Wayne Parnell at short third-man. McCullum was out for nine.

Jummi Neesham’s loose delivery was hit over extra-cover by Suresh Raina for his first four. But it was generally a low-scoring period for Chennai. Duminy bowled the eight over and both stroke-players Smith and Raina could only manage three runs. The shackles were broken a bit when Neesham bowled a long-hop and Smith pulled it for a four towards deep square-leg. That also brought Chennai’s 50.
