The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pulled off a victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match 46 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 7. As a result of their victory, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) managed to qualify for the playoffs. They now join Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) as two of the final four teams.

What this means for the other teams is that Rajasthan Royals (RR) are a couple of wins away from qualification, and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are in a much better position to qualify as well. Another win against CSK today will put them at par with RR in terms of points, and make their position far more comfortable.

However, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and to a less extent Mumbai Indians (MI) also still have a mathematical chance to qualify. However, they would all need to win their remaining games and also hope for favourable results in other matches. The race to finish in the final four is now for two spots between six teams.
