Jeet Rasikbhai Pabari, brother-in-law of Indiaâs former Test cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara, was found dead at his home in Rajkot on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Local police from the Malviyanagar police station acted quickly after receiving the alert and have started a formal investigation into the circumstances of his death.
Jeet was taken to a nearby private hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and police have stated that the results, along with further inquiries, will clarify the situation.
Cheteshwar Pujara, known as one of Indiaâs most dependable and resilient Test batsmen, made his debut in 2010 and became a cornerstone of Indiaâs middle order, particularly following the retirement of Rahul Dravid. Pujara earned acclaim for his remarkable performances overseas, including the 2018â19 Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, where his centuries and long innings were crucial to Indiaâs historic series win. Domestically, he has consistently delivered match-defining performances on turning pitches and under pressure.
Earlier this year, Pujara retired from all formats, bringing an end to a celebrated career with the Indian team.
