India cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara on Friday revealed that yoga and meditation have not only helped him maintain a healthy lifestyle but also perform well on the field.

“It’s always up to an individual what he/she prefers to do. Everybody has a different preparation. I don’t do all the yogas, but just to keep myself healthy. I do some exercises and the pranayamas,” 26-year-old said here during a media interaction.

Pujara, who currently playing for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), says although he does not do yoga daily, he has made it a point to incorporate it in his life to stay healthy.

“I am a bit lazy about doing it every single day, but I try to make sure that I do it at least four times a week and that gives me best opportunity to stay healthy and perform on the field,” he said.

On the meditation, he said, “I do my prayers every single day and that’s a part of my life. It is not something I do to get better on the cricketing field. That’s my routine. I try to devote at least 15-20 minutes a day,” he said.
