Chris Gayle and Sachin Tendulkar have scored 200s on the same day!

West Indies batsman Chris Gayle and Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar now share the same date in the history of cricket to have scored a double century. While Sachin Tendulkar scored the first double One-Day International (ODI) ton against South Africa on February 24, 2010, the West Indies opener too smashed the first double century of World Cup history five years later on February  24, 2015 against Zimbabwe. Tendulkar had become the first batsman in the history of ODI cricket to have scored double century against South Africa at Gwalior. Gayle broke quite a few records on the way to his 147-ball 215. The left-handed batsman smashed as many as 16 sixes and 10 boundaries to score 215. He is the fourth batsman after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma to have scored a double century in ODI cricket.
