Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan are looking to steady the innings and hoping they can chase the target down after their team lost early wickets. Chris Lynn couldn’t take his team to victory after he was clean bowled by Akshar Patel, the way he did against Royal Challengers Bangalore with the bat and on the field. Kolkata had reached 43 for three after 10 overs which is the lowest in this years tournament.

Lakshmipathy Balaji is continuing with his good run claiming the main wicket of Jacques Kallis. He hit the ball direct to the point fielder. Gautam Gambhir the captain of the side opened his account in the tournament but got out after only a scoring one run.
