CLT20 2014: Sanjay Bangar and Joe Dawes’ advice helped, says Anureet Singh
Bangar and Dawes' advice helped: Anureet

Sep 29, 2014
Anureet Singh, has been in good touch for Kings XI Punjab in the Champions League T20 2014. The pacer bagged three for 12 in Kings XI Punjab’s final group stage fixture as they shot out the Cape Cobras for 135 on Sunday.
The three for 12 was his best figures in T 20 cricket. Sanjay Bangar, King XI head coach, and bowling coach Joe Dawes have been working with the pacer, their efforts seem to have yielded dividends. Their advice and the changes they recommended held Singh in good stead, according to the Official Champions League website.
Singh said ” Joe Dawes and Sanjay Bangar have both played a role. Dawes was the one who made me practice bowling from round the wicket. Applying and practicing his advice has made a difference to my bowling. ”
The innswinger Singh reckoned was his stock ball. “If I am bowling with the new ball, it is about making the batsman play. My natural delivery is the in-coming delivery and I ensure that the batsman is forced to play. Even when I get hit for a boundary, I stick to my plans and make the batsmen play,” he pointed out.
