CLT20 2012: Chennai Super Kings opt to field against Yorkshire at Durban
Durban: Oct 22, 2012
Chennai Super Kings stand-in captain Suresh Raina won the toss and elected to field against the England county side Yorkshire in their Champions League T20 match at Durban.
Both Chennai and fellow IPL side Mumbai Indians have crashed out of the tournament after Sydney Sixers and Highveld Lions qualified for the semi-finals from Group B.
Even before the first ball was bowled in Saturday night’s IPL derby between Chennai and Mumbai, the match was rendered a dead-rubber after Lions notched up a five-wicket victory over Yorkshire earlier in the day to become the second team from Group B to reach the semi-finals.
Teams:
Chennai Super Kings: Murali Vijay, Suresh Raina (c), Faf du Plessis, Subramanium Badrinath, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), Albie Morkel, Ravinda Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Doug Bollinger, Wriddhiman Saha, Ben Hilfenhaus.
