CLT20 2012: Highveld Lions manage 137 despite Gulam Bodi’s impressive fifty

Highveld Lions managed a moderate score of 137 runs despite an impressive half-century in the Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2012 tie at Cape Town on Thursday.

 

Bodi’s half-century could not take Lions to a respectable total as the Sydney Sixers maintained a disciplined bowling performance throughout the innings with all-rounder Shane Watson and Josh Hazlewood sharing two wickets each.

 

Mitchel Starc, however, was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets conceding just 19 runs.

 

Both teams have been undefeated in the tournament so far, with Sixers beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their first match and making light work of the Yorkshire in their second outing to lead the points table on better net run rate, reports PTI.
