CLT20 2014: David Miller dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin

Oct 2, 2014

David Miller was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin in the second semi-final of Champions League Twenty 20 (CLT20) 2014 at Hyderabad. Miller was the top-scorer for KXIP, and scored a quick 22. His dimissal left KXIP reeling at 61 for seven. It wouldn’t be unsafe to assume that the CLT20 finals will be between CSK and KKR.

Earlier, Dwayne Bravo and Faf du Plessis helped CSK recover from early blows and post an imposing total of 182 for seven. Parvinder Awana had taken a hat-trick, dismissing Suresh Raina, Pawan Negi and MS Dhoni in consecutive deliveries.

The two teams met thrice in the last edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) and KXIP emerged victorious in all three times. All three games saw explosive batting performances, and 200 plus totals were achieved in five of the six innings played.

In the final analysis, both teams are extremely strong on talent as well as team spirit. It should be a great game of cricket, and one thing is certain – whatever total the team batting first sets, the team batting second can chase it down.
