Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir have helped Kolkata Knight Riders finish the powerplay against Chennai Super Kings in the Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2014 final at Bangalore. In six overs, Kolkata are 54 for no loss.

Ravichandran Ashwin was brought in to bowl the fifth over after Kolkata had scored 36 in the first four. After knocking about a few singles, Kolkata managed to get a six as Robin Uthappa smashed Ashwin over long-on. Mohit Sharma was into the attack in the sixth over, for his third. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first. Chennai were playing an unchanged side. On the other hand, Kolkata were forced to bring in Pat Cummins in place of the suspended ace Sunil Narine.
