CLT20 2014 Final: Robin Uthappa becomes highest run-scorer of tournament

Robin Uthappa has become the leading run-scorer in the Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2014. It came in the final of the CLT20 2014 against Chennai Super Kings. Kolkata are batting well and they are 89 for no loss. He went past Jonathan Carter’s tally.

Ravichandran Ashwin came on to bowl the ninth over and after a few quick runs, Uthappa finished the over with a boundary through third-man. He opened the face of the bat and guided the ball very fine, with the fielder having no chance. Gambhir lofted a six in the 10th over and Bravo jumped on the boundary, but could not hold it. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first. Chennai were playing an unchanged side. On the other hand, Kolkata were forced to bring in Pat Cummins in place of the suspended ace Sunil Narine.
