Glenn Maxwell apologised for causing a minor trouble during the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) match between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Cape Cobras at Mohali.
Maxwell was dismissed by Sybrand Engelbrecht during KXIP’s chase of the 136-run target set by the Cape Cobras, and vented his frustration out on a dustbin while on his way back to the dug-out. He later apologised for the incident on his Twitter account in a rather humourous manner, where he claimed that he had ‘a chat with the trash can and was in good terms with it.’
Apologies to the fans for my trash can abuse. I had a long chat with the trash can afterwards and we’re on good terms now. #dentinourrship

Kings XI Punjab registered a comfortable seve-wicket victory, their fourth win in as many matches in the ongoing CLT20 so far. After dismissing the Cape Cobras for a total of 135, courtesy some fine bowling performances by Anureet Singh and Akshar Patel, the home side chased the total down with 11 deliveries to spare. The Cobras on the other hand have been effectively eliminated from the tournament, their only win of the tournament coming against the Barbados Tridents which went down to the Super Over.
