Colin de Grandhomme slammed the second-fastest hundred for New Zealand during the first Test between New Zealand and West Indies. His hundred came in 71 balls. Brendon McCullum holds the record for the fastest hundred: he took 54 balls against Australia in 2015-16. The Third and fourth in the list is also captured by McCullum.

Grandhomme also became the fifth New Zealand batsmen to score 100 or more runs in the final session. Ian Smith, Nathan Astle, Daniel Vettori and Chris Cairns are the other members of this illustrious gathering.

This is also the fastest hundred against West Indies; Shahid Afridi and Virender Sehwag had done it in 78 deliveries.
