All-rounder Paul Collingwood believes that England is all set to conquer the world of T20 cricket with exciting talented players in the team.

Collingwood believes players of his generation will have to adapt to the new format whereas the new generation cricketers are already specialists in T20.

Former England captain was quoted in Daily Mirror as saying, “When I started playing it was all about high elbows and playing in the ‘V’, and you were in trouble if you hit the ball in the air. But that’s been well and truly thrown out the window in this form of the game.

“You’ve players like Joss Buttler coming through who are so strong and able to clear the ropes at will, plus they have all the skills to play the ramp shots and the reverse sweeps and flicks because that is what they’ve always done.”

Collingwood also praised young cricketers like Eoin Morgan for ability to play unorthodox shots.

“Eoin Morgan was perhaps the first guy to come into the side and play those shots as naturally as a cover drive, and to these players they are not unorthodox shots, they are part of the skills you need – full stop,” he said.
