Two of the bottom lying teams in the form of Comilla Victorians (CV) vs Chittagong Vikings (CHV) take on each other, in Match 22 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2016, at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Monday. The live cricket streaming of the match is available on Sony LIV, and channel9.com in Bangladesh, while the live telecast of the match is available on Sony SIX and Sony SIX HD, and Channel 9 in Bangladesh. CV are currently placed in the seventh spot in the point table as they were able to win their first match in their sixth game while CHV are unfortunately placed at sixth spot with two wins and four losses. CV lost against Barisal Bulls (BB), Mahmudullah’s Khulna Titans (KT), Shakib Al Hasan’s Dhaka Dynamites (DD) and Shahid Afridi’s Rangpur Riders (RR). They finally tasted success versus Darren Sammy’s Rajshahi Kings (RK). Knowing the nature of the format, which is unpredictable and a side has to strive hard for consistency, CV will still be upbeat to qualify for the next round winning their remaining games. They will, however, have to take one game at a time and remain positive. Bangladesh’s limited-overs skipper, Mashrafe Mortaza, will be up for the challenge as he is a fighter and aggressive in intent.

Talking about CHV, they have remained inconsistent as well. After an impressive outing in their first game, against CV, they slipped in the ranks against RR, DD, BB and KT. They came back hard against RK which was their last game. In short, both the sides have struggled but are coming back off a win and should fancy their chances in this game as well.

The key players from CV’s side will be Mortaza, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Imrul Kayes and Sohail Tanvir. On the other hand, from CHV, the onus will be on Tamim, Jeevan Mendis, Mohammad Nabi and Taskin Ahmed.
